Spread the Word!!

Hi all!! I decided that Polished Patricia doesn't really suit me as a name for a blog, so I changed it to Polished and Glittered. Polished Patricia was thought up on a whim, and I wanted something that didn't have my first name in it, lol. So please update your bookmarks and follow the new blog instead! I'm really excited about sharing my latest mani with everyone :D

Glitter Overload!

Our local Meijer had the Sally Hansen Lustre Shine polishes for way less than everyone else is selling them for, so I went ahead and picked up a couple that really caught my eye.

Lava is a gorgeous, GORGEOUS reddish-orange-pink multichrome that is just to die for!! There is just no describing this color!! I would definitely recommend picking this up, but wait for a sale or if you have a Meijer in your area, it's $2-3 less than Walgreens. These bottles are small and $9 a bottle is ridiculous!

Of course, I had to add some bling to it! I used 3 coats of Lava. You could possibly get away with one coat, but I was having issues with it not applying evenly and having bald spots, so I did 3 coats. Added 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Strobe Light and Sally Hansen Gem Crush Razzle Dazzler. Between base coats, polishes, quick dry top coats, I had applied 8 layers :|

Jelly Sandwich With Zoya Frida

I was super duper excited when I got Zoya Frida from Copious (if you haven't discovered Copious, what are you waiting for?!). I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, which is why I got it in the first place! :D

I present to you.. Zoya Frida and OPI Pirouette My Whistle :D 2 coats of Zoya Frida, 2 coats of PMW, and 1 coat of Zoya Friday. Perfect for fall!!

Maybelline Color Show Avante Green

(09/22/2012) I was finally able to find and pick up a couple of polishes from the Maybelline Color Show LE Fall 2012 Collection. It's been a long time since I've worn just one polish on my fingers! :)

Here is Avante Green. Beautiful, beautiful color, but a pain in the rear to apply! This was about 2.5 coats. The first coat didn't apply evenly, a second coat left some balding, so a semi-third coat was needed for full coverage. I got a lot of compliments on this polish! And a lot of people asking if my nails were real :P There are tons of pictures, so beware!!

Failed Jelly Sandwich

This mani was from 09/20/2012. I used 2 coats of Essie Marshmallow, 2 coats of Revlon Whimsical, and 1 coat of Essie Marshmallow. It would have been worth wearing if only I could apply white nail polish without goofing it up! :( Obviously, I  need to work on cleaning up afterwards. I've tried using acetone and a brush to clean up my cuticles, but I must not be doing that right, either! :\ So I just do what I've always done and wait until my morning shower before getting ready for work and remove the excess polish with warm water and a washcloth.

Saturday Nail Mail!!

I recently won one of the many prizes from a giveaway that Things I Love At the Moment had a few weeks ago and received them in the mail today!!

Aren't they just beautiful!!! <3 I'm really excited because these are my first indies!! <3 <3
